Like A Radio

When we finally get our farm, wherever it may be, there is one thing that I really, really want to do.

I’m going to buy back my first horse, and set her out to pasture.

If I can, of course. She is so broken down and lame that I can’t imagine anyone ever selling her again, but you never know. I sincerely hope that it won’t be too late by the time I try to find her (I have a pretty good idea where she is right now).

I’m going to save my money so that when I am able I can buy her. I love that horse so much and considering how crazy she was when I got her versus when I sold her, she deserves to be completely happy and retired. We went through a lot together, and she tried so hard for everyone but her body just couldn’t take it. I can picture just occasionally meandering on her bareback through a field of grazing cows (she never minded cows) … happy. Plus, I know my mom loves her just as much and she would enjoy having her at home.
